My film projects take me to various locations around the world, and I always find myself bringing along an array of still cameras. While I choose each location based on the story of the movie I wish to tell, there is a language inherent to each place that may not fit into the scope of the films. The photographs that I take at these locations directly express that language. They supplement and uncover a completely different world from that of my films. While interrelated, each photograph nevertheless conveys an understanding unique to that fraction of a second in which it was taken.
